Plateau: Governor Mutfwang appoints SSG, attorney general

Governor Caleb Mutfwang has announced the appointments of three principal officers in his administration.
The governor announced this via his Twitter handle after being sworn in as the sixth executive governor of Plateau.
According to the governor, his choice of appointees to handle critical sectors of his administration was based on competence.
Mr Mutfwang appointed Samuel Nanchang Jatau as the secretary to the state government (SSG), Philemon Dafi as the attorney general and commissioner for justice, and Moses Nwan as executive private secretary.
Mr Jatau, a governorship aspirant in 2019, is a retired director in the Plateau civil service.
Mr Dafi, who will be in charge of the state’s justice system, is a “seasoned legal practitioner with more than thirty (30) years of active legal practice,” the governor said.
He is also a member of the Council for Legal Education in Nigeria.
Mr Nwan is a retired permanent secretary, former council administrator, and community leader.
