Mane tests positive for coronavirus

The Senegalese tested positive for the virus three days after a teammate Thiago Alcantara tested positive.

Sadio Mane, Liverpool forward,  has tested positive for coronavirus and is in isolation in line with COVID-19 safety guidelines. 

The Senegalese tested positive for the virus three days after a teammate Thiago Alcantara tested positive.

Liverpool, in a statement on their website, said Mane “has displayed minor symptoms of the virus but feels in good health overall”.

Mane is said to  be “currently self-isolating according to the necessary guidelines.”

Mane, 28,  has joined the list of footballers who tested positive for the virus and will be missing in action for the Reds while he is in isolation.

 The Premier League had on Monday announced that 10 people tested positive for coronavirus since the league resumed this season.
