The future of England forward Harry Kane is still unclear despite the €100 million agreement between Premier League side Tottenham and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich for the transfer of the 30-year-old.

Kane’s contract at the North London club is due to expire the next summer, but the forward is keen on a new challenge and in search of silverware –he has refused all attempts from Tottenham to extend his contract.

Despite that, Tottenham chief Daniel Levy is reluctant to let the forward leave or at least not for a cheap fee. He insisted he was not ready to sell to either of the Manchester clubs, with only Bayern Munich actively pursuing Kane in the ongoing transfer window.

After having two bids rejected earlier, both Tottenham and Bayern Munich finally reached a €100 million agreement on Thursday, with the only process remaining for the deal to move forward is a discussion of personal terms between the German club and the player.

However, things have gone cold from the player’s camp despite an agreement between the clubs, and Sky Sports has now reported that it is increasingly likely Kane might stay at Tottenham this season.

This development may be connected with the player’s desire to stay in the Premier League.

With 213 goals, Kane needs just 48 more to break Alan Shearer’s scoring record as the Premier League all-time scorer.
