Harry Kane completes Bayern Munich move; PSG confirm Dembélé transfer from Barcelona

England international forward Harry Kane has completed a move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich on a long-term permanent deal.
“FC Bayern have signed Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. The 30-year-old England striker has agreed terms with the German record champions,” the club said.
The 30-year-old arrived in Munich on Friday evening to undergo medical tests and signed a four-year contract until 2027 after Tottenham and Bayern Munich agreed to a €100 million deal.
Kane spent 14 years at the North London club, which included several loan spells across England, before making his Premier League debut for Tottenham in 2014 under then-manager Tim Sherwood.
He has not looked back since then and became the club’s highest scorer in history with 280 goals and the second highest scorer in Premier League history with 206 goals and only needing 48 more to beat Alan Shearer.
However, the England national team’s highest goalscorer lacked a senior career silverware, which is believed to have contributed to the ultimate decision of the player to seek a new challenge.
In his farewell statement to Tottenham, Kane said: “Hard to put into words how to say goodbye to a club and fans who have done so much for me in my career. You will always be in my heart. Thank you, Tottenham, thank you, Tottenham fans.”
Kane will wear the number nine jersey at the Allianz Arena. He might make his first appearance for Bayern Munich in the DFL-Supercup on Saturday, an opportunity for the player to win his first silverware.
In other news, French Ligue side Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Ousmane Dembélé from Barcelona on a five-year deal after activating the player’s €50.4 million release clause.
“I am delighted to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, and I can’t wait to play for my new club. I hope to continue to improve here and make all the club’s fans proud,” the forward said on the switch to his home country. He will wear number 23.
