The Russian army said it repelled another Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow on Monday morning.

The army said an airborne drone was intercepted in the west of the city over the Istra District, the defence ministry said.

“The anti-aircraft defence shot down a drone during an attempted approach to Moscow. There is no damage or casualties,” Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote on Telegram.

Another drone was also brought down by electronic jamming west of Moscow in Rusa District, according to military sources.

The Russian agencies said because of the danger in the air, the airports: Vnukovo and Domodedovo, south of Moscow temporarily closed their airspace.

Ukraine has flown drones over Moscow several times in recent weeks as part of its battle against the Russian invasion.

They have managed to hit skyscrapers in the modern business district of Moskva-City.
