X to introduce video, audio calls: Elon Musk

In efforts to improve its services, X microblogging platform is set to introduce video and audio calls for its users across the globe.
Elon Musk, owner of the platform, on Thursday, announced this development in a tweet.
“Video and audio calls coming to X,” Mr Musk tweeted, adding that the new feature “works on iOS, Android, Mac and PC.”
Unlike other social media platforms, X will not require the phone number of its user for them to be able to make both video and audio calls.
This development comes amongst many changes the microblogging platform has gone through since Mr Musk took over its ownership.
Aside introducing subscription for Blue tick verification and allowing publishers monitise their content, Mr Musk has rechristened the platform from Twitter to X.
