Fayemi wishes Tinubu good health after Arewa House stumble

Governor Kayode Fayemi has wished the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, good health on the occasion of his 69th birthday, just a day after the latter stumbled.
On Saturday, Mr Tinubu, the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, stumbled as he made his way to his seat in the auditorium where the 2021 annual Arewa House Lecture was held.
The former governor of Lagos, dressed in flowing agbada, chaired the 11th edition of the event on Saturday in Kaduna.
It is unclear if Mr Tinubu, 69, missed his steps, but his aides quickly grabbed him from falling flat, as seen in a viral footage.
Mr Fayemi, in a statement on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Iyebode, described Mr Tinubu as “leader of leaders.”
The governor added that the former Lagos governor was a distinguished Nigerian and a courageous, reliable, dependable, and passionate leader.
Mr Fayemi, who is the chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, also described Mr Tinubu as a statesman with an uncommon political sagacity and generosity.
“Asiwaju Tinubu’s ability to identify, nurture and engage talents is unequalled. His life has been a testimony of human capital development in an unrelenting struggle for a better life for people.
“He is not only an accomplished politician; he is a statesman par excellence, a dogged fighter and strong voice in the fight against military dictatorship and enthronement of democratic rule in the country,” said the governor.
Continuing, Mr Fayemi stated, “We can only wish him many more useful and productive years in service to humanity.
“I, on behalf of my wife, Bisi, the government and good people of Ekiti, celebrate our dear Asiwaju Tinubu on his birthday and pray that God rewards his labour of love with long life in good health and unspeakable joy.”
