A six-year-old boy was killed in Ukraine during overnight attacks by Russian forces, prosecutors have said.
The child’s 13-year-old brother was also seriously injured in the shelling that took place in the southern region of Kherson.
Three neighbours, including a teenager, who rushed to help, were also injured.
The country’s Prosecutor General’s Office said it had documented 504 cases of killing of Ukrainian children by the Russian invasion that began 18 months ago.
It said that the actual number would be higher.
According to Kiev, Russia attacked nine regions of Ukraine with artillery, drones and other weapon systems within the past 24 hours.
The Ukrainian military said on Thursday morning that it shot down 17 of the 22 kamikaze drones deployed by Russia.
