Trump leaves hospital after coronavirus
President Donald Trump on Monday told Americans not to be afraid of COVID-19, saying he now feels better after days of battling the deadly virus.
Mr. Trump and his wife, Melania, both tested positive to coronavirus and have been in isolation last week Friday.
Mr. Trump said he would be leaving the Walter Reed Medical Center by 6:30 P.M on Monday.
“I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid,” Mr. Trump said. “Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!.”
Mr. Trump’s announcement last week that he had contracted the virus has sent shockwaves through the stock markets, affecting trade worldwide.
His status also generated political controversy, coming barely weeks to the presidential election in which he is being led in the polls by his main rival, Joe Biden.
