APC supporters warned against ‘provocative’ jubilations after sacking of Mutfwang

APC in Plateau has advised its members to celebrate the Appeal Court governorship judgment with modesty and decorum and avoid actions that could puncture the peace.
Its chairman, Rufus Bature, said this in a statement signed by the Plateau chapter of the APC’s spokesman, Sylvanus Namang.
The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal on Sunday nullified the election of Governor Caleb Mutfwang and declared APC’s Nentawe Yilwatda the winner.
“We appeal to members and supporters of the APC in Plateau to remain calm and refrain from provocative acts that could hurt the peace,” Mr Bature said.
The state chair advised that the acrimony and disaffection that prevailed in the wake of appeals should be put behind as Plateau had become a laughing stock.
Mr called on security agencies to be alert to avert any act capable of causing a breakdown of law and order.
He congratulated Yilwatda and his running mate, Pam Bot-Mang, on the victory.
