Reps pledge to add value to Nigerian Navy

The House of Representatives Committee on the Nigerian Navy has promised to add value to the naval force to enable it to discharge its duties effectively.
Rep. Yusuf Gagdi, the committee chairman, said this at the committee’s inaugural meeting on Tuesday in Abuja.
“Let us always prioritise national interests as we carry out our duties within this committee.
“We are here to add value to that institution; through our oversight, we are going to scrutinise the activities of the agency for the purpose of national development and not for self-development.
“We are going to work to add value to this agency at the end of the day,” he said.
Mr Gagdi urged the members to discharge their responsibilities as a committee in line with the Standing Rules of the 10th House of Reps.
