Anambra ICT boss urges entrepreneurs to take advantage of technology

Chukwuemeka Agbata, the managing director of Anambra State ICT Agency, has called on entrepreneurs to enhance their businesses and services by taking advantage of the vast opportunities in information technology.
Mr Agbata said on Wednesday in Awka that embracing technological advancements was a sure way of unlocking new possibilities, streamlining processes, and ushering in an era of unprecedented growth.
He said as activists resume in 2024, there was a need for ministries, departments, and agencies in Anambra to embark on a deliberate exploration of technology with the strategic aim of improving their processes and deliveries.
Mr Agbata explained that ICT could be applied in every sector of the economy, including agriculture, healthcare, governance and education.
“In pursuing a more accountable, progressive, and sustainable future, the Anambra ICT Agency recognises the pivotal role of technology in driving positive change across various sectors, and I must add that the benefits are limitless.
“As the agency mandated to drive the ‘everything technology and technology everywhere’ vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, we recognise that at the heart of this transformation is technology. It holds the key to fostering accountability, efficiency of progress, and ensuring sustainability,” Mr Agbata noted.
Mr Agbata said the agency was committed to providing the necessary technical and infrastructure support in line with its mandate and reinforcing Gov Soludo’s vision for a technologically advanced state.
He said the journey towards an impactful change was a collective effort while thanking the government and people for what the Anambra achieved in the sector in 2023.
According to him, we, the government, private sector, communities, and individuals, must unite, embrace and harness the robust potentials of technology.
“Together, we can build a more resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking Anambra on the horizon. So, whether you’re an innovator, entrepreneur, or simply someone passionate about a better future, your contribution matters.
“Let us leverage technology as a force for positive transformation, shaping a world that reflects our shared values and aspirations. So, on behalf of the Anambra ICT Agency, I would like to wish everyone an impactful 2024,” he said.
