Lagos State House Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has arrived at the EFCC for questioning, his first visit to the anti-graft office since allegations of corruption began surfacing against him last year.

Mr. Obasa arrived at the EFCC office in Ikoyi shortly after 10:00, those familiar with the matter told Peoples Gazette. Sources said over 90 houses were traced to Mr. Obasa, the source of which he has yet to explain.

His appearance followed invitation from anti-graft detectives who have been probing his alleged involvement in a series of theft in Lagos. He denied the allegations when Sahara Reporters first exposed them earlier this year.

SaharaReporters said Mr. Obasa had engaged in looting of public funds as Lagos House Speaker.

The outlet said 64 bank accounts that were used in pilfering public funds were linked to Mr. Obasa.
