Delta group lauds Ibori over support for Gov Oborevwori

Delta Consensus Group has lauded former Governor James Ibori for supporting the current Delta government in his New Year message.
The group’s national coordinator, Manny Onye, gave the commendation in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
He said the call for support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration by Mr Ibori was a product of consensus and unity built by the current administration.
Mr Onye called on the political elite in the state to heed Mr Ibori’s call to move the state forward.
“We are elated by Ibori`s New Year message and believe that it is the final signal of a new era of political unity in Delta. Elections have come and gone. It is a great honour and respect that Ibori has decided to toe the line of honour and dignity expected of statesmen.
“We cannot stop but urge all Deltans, irrespective of tribe and religion, to heed the patriotic call of Ibori in supporting the Oborevwori-led administration,” he said.
