Bill to establish FMC Fagge scales second reading

A bill seeking the establishment of a federal medical centre in Fagge, Kano State, has scaled second reading at the National Assembly, according to Mohammed Bello-Shehu, House of Representatives member representing Fagge constituency.
Mr Bello-Shehu disclosed during a media parley with the Nigeria Union of Journalist Correspondents Chapel, Kano, on Thursday in Kano.
“The FMC, when established, will provide additional health facility that will support activities of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital interns of health care service delivery,” he said.
He said the bill had been referred to the House Committee on Health for further deliberations.
“We are working assiduously to make sure that the bill sees the light of the day and, by the grace of God, it will scale through the third reading,” stated the legislator.
According to him, the medical centre will create more job opportunities for the teeming youths of the Fagge federal constituency.
The lawmaker reiterated his commitment to bringing more developmental projects towards enhancing the well-being of the people.
