The All Progressives Congress said it accepted the Supreme Court decisions on petitions challenging the outcome of the 2023 governorship elections in six states.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, while reacting to the development in a statement on Friday in Abuja, said “in every contest, you win some and lose some.’’

Mr Morka said the APC would continue to submit to the dictates of the rule of law.

The apex court affirmed the party’s governorship elections in Gombe, Ogun, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Kebbi states.

The court, however, ruled in favour of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State.

He stated, “In every contest, you win some and lose some. But we must continue to submit to the dictates of the rule of law and constitutional order. We congratulate the winners, particularly our Governors Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Uba Sani (Kaduna) and Nasir Idris (Kebbi).’’

The APC spokesman urged the party’s members to remain calm and peaceful.
