Three minors were on Tuesday docked in the Upper Area Court in Gwagwalada, FCT, for stealing.

The police charged the minors with criminal conspiracy, house breaking and theft.

The prosecution counsel, Abdullahi Tanko, told the court that the complainant, Adu Hannah, reported the matter at the Gwagwalada Police Station on November 11, 2023.

Mr Tanko said the defendants trespassed into the complainant’s house and stole a tablet worth N70,000 and a laptop worth N180,000.

The police also alleged that the minors stole two pairs of shoes, MP3 radio, electric iron and N29,200 cash.

He said on January 15, one of the minors was caught with the stolen phone.

The prosecutor said the offence contravened sections 97, 346 and 287 of the Penal code.

The minors pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The judge, Abdullahi Abdulkarim, released the minors to their parents and ordered them to sign a bond to produce them in court.

Mr Abdulkarim adjourned the case until February 22 for hearing.
