Chelsea bury Middlesborough in 6-1 thrashing at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea secured a remarkable comeback in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg, defeating Middlesbrough 6-1 at Stamford Bridge after trailing 1-0 in the first leg.
Despite a slow start, Mauricio Pochettino’s team found their rhythm, with Ben Chilwell’s key assist leading to Raheem Sterling setting up Amando Broja for the opener.
Broja’s scuffed finish later inadvertently assisted Enzo Fernández, and Axel Disasi’s clinical strike extended Chelsea’s lead. Cole Palmer added two more goals, securing a spot in the 10th EFL Cup final for Chelsea.
Middlesbrough’s Michael Carrick faced a challenging evening, with Chelsea’s dominant performance leading to a 5-1 aggregate win.
Despite a late goal from Morgan Rogers, Chelsea will now look ahead to the final against Liverpool or Fulham on February 25, while Middlesbrough refocuses on the Championship play-off race.
