Cricket: Six Nigerians to play in Ugandan Elite League

Six Nigerian Cricket players will participate in Uganda’s upcoming Waterfalls T20 Elite League.
Emeka Igwilo, the Nigeria Cricket Federation general manager, said the national team players would feature in the event from February 1 to 11.
“Three male and three female players in the national team will be participating in the second edition of the Ugandan elite league. They include Isaac Okpe, Chiemelie Udekwe and Isaac Danladi, while the women, Sarah Etim, Piety Lucky and Favour Eseigbe, will take featuring.
“This is part of a high-performance programme for the players as well as preparation ahead of the African Games and the NCF Women’s Invitational in February,’’ he said.
Cricket will feature for the first time at the African Games in Ghana in March, with Nigeria participating in both male and female events based on their T20 ranking.
