NAFDAC cautions Nigerian youth against alcohol abuse

Mr Adeniran identified abuse of alcohol as one of the major causes of crime in the country.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control(NAFDAC) has warned youths against abuse of alcohol.

Kazeem Adeniran, Assistant Chief Regulatory Officer, Investigation and Enforcement Department, NAFDAC, Apapa, Lagos, warned while speaking with journalists on Friday in Ota, Ogun.

Mr Adeniran identified abuse of alcohol as one of the major causes of crime in the country.

“We are appealing to youths in the country to desist from abuse of alcohol because this could destroy their future,” he said.

Mr Adeniran also blamed some road traffic crashes on the use of alcohol by motorists because of its negative effects on sense of reasoning.

He appealed to companies in the country to join hands with NAFDAC in the fight against abuse of alcohol.

Mr Adeniran also restated the commitment of the NAFDAC to intensify public enlightenment against the abuse of alcohol to ensure sanity in society.
