Nasarawa governor hails Abiodun’s road infrastructure drive in Ogun

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has commended his counterpart in Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, for his strides in road construction and infrastructure development in the last four and a half years.
Mr Sule gave the commendation on Monday while speaking with journalists after a courtesy call on Mr Abiodun in Abeokuta.
Mr Sule, who described infrastructure as a catalyst for investment, expressed delight at the road network across the state.
“So many projects like the Agro-Cargo Airport are going on in the state. I know about the various projects that former President Muhammadu Buhari came to inaugurate. The last time I came here was when Nestle was building their factory and also the Brewery was also building their site. Today, I have not only seen those industries, I have seen the dualisation of the Sagamu-Abeokuta road. We were here in 20 minutes.
“That is what a private-thinking person will do to attract investment, as investment will not come without somebody doing something,” he said.
Mr Sule applauded Mr Abiodun for siting most of the projects at the grass-roots, noting that it would help in socio-economic endeavours in the state.
In the area of internally-generated revenue, Mr Sule said his state had a lot to learn from Ogun State.
He said it was important as there were several states in the country that were not generating enough revenue to run their affairs.
