Five suspected internet fraudsters arrested in Benue

The commission said the suspects were arrested on Friday at Kansho village in the Makurdi LGA. .

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested five suspected internet fraudsters.

The EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.

He said that they were arrested on Friday at Kansho village in the Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State.

According to him, the arrest is sequel to the actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet – related offences.

He stated, “The suspects are Shima Francis, Ode Jesse, Odey Linus, Kingsley Obinna and Emmanuel Inaleguwu. Items recovered from them are one iPhone and five android phones. They suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.’’
