NIA extends condolences to Wigwe’s family, Access Holdings

On Thursday, the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) extended its condolences to the family of Herbert Wigwe, the deceased Access Holdings boss.
Olusegun Omosehin, chairman of NIA, said this in a statement.
Mr Omosehin said the association was deeply saddened by the news of the passing of the Group CEO, who died alongside his wife and son.
Mr Wigwe, his wife, son and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, former chairman of NGX Group, died on February 9 in a helicopter crash in Southern California, U.S.
“The association extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and the entire Access Holdings Group during this period of grief. NIA prays that Almighty God will grant the entire families enough strength to bear the pain of these untimely deaths,” he said.
According to him, the late Wigwe was a successful banker, a great patriot and an important voice in the financial sector, who made huge contributions to the development of Nigeria’s economy.
Mr Omosehin said the demise of Mr Wigwe was a loss to the financial sector and the country.
