Luton Town striker Elijah Adebayo eager to play for Nigeria

Luton Town star striker Elijah Adebayo has reaffirmed his desire to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria, highlighting his deep-rooted connection to his Nigerian heritage.
Born to Nigerian parents in England, the 26-year-old Premier League star is eligible to choose between donning the Nigerian green or playing for the Three Lions.
In a video shared on X, Adebayo emphasized the significance of his Nigerian roots, expressing immense pride in his lineage.
“Heritage is big for me, obviously. My mum was born in Nigeria. I am proud to be Nigerian and I would love to play for Nigeria,” he stated.
Despite nursing a hamstring injury that has sidelined him momentarily, Adebayo’s stellar performances on the pitch for Luton Town this season have garnered attention and admiration.
With nine goals to his name in 26 league appearances, the towering striker’s prowess and potential have not gone unnoticed, further fuelling hopes of a future international call-up to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
