EFCC nabs 20 suspected internet fraudsters in Ibadan

The commission said the suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested 20 alleged internet fraudsters in Oyo State.

The anti-graft agency disclosed this in a statement on its official X handle on Saturday.

According to the statement, the anti-graft agency said its operatives arrested the suspects on Wednesday, at Akobo area of Ibadan.

The operation was carried out “following actionable intelligence on their suspected fraudulent internet-related activities.”

“Items recovered from them include 10 exotic cars, 12 laptops, 41 mobile phones, one play-station 5, one television set and other incriminating documents among others,” the EFCC revealed.
“They would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations,” it added.
