The Plateau ministry of youth and sports development says it will train 340 youths on specialised agricultural skills to make them self-reliant.

Md Datti said that the training would be carried out in partnership with the ministry of agriculture and rural development.
The commissioner stated that the training, which would be in phases, would commence with 20 youths from each of the 17 local government areas (LGAs) of the state.
According to him, the training , which aims at empowering youths and ensuring food sufficiency, is for those between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
“The application form for the training is free, and will be available from Tuesday, April 2, to Friday, April 5, at the ministry’s headquarters in Jos, as well as Pankshin and Shendam Youth Centres, respectively.
“All completed application forms are to be submitted within seven days at the same venue, please,” Mr Datti said.
