Gov Mbah makes new appointments, reconstitutes Enugu’s Traditional Rulers Council

Governor Peter Mbah has approved the reconstitution of Enugu Traditional Rulers Council.

He has also made new appointments in the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) and Hospital Management Board.

The secretary to the state government, Chidiebere Onyia, announced this on Thursday in Enugu.

The Enugu Traditional Rulers Council appointments include Samuel Asadu as chairman, Julius Nnaji as first deputy chairman, G.N. Madu as second deputy chairman, and Hebert Ukuta as third deputy chairman.

Others are Fidelis Nwatu as the grand patron, Abel Nwobodo as the first grand patron, Augustine Otiji as the second grand patron, and H.C. Eze as the third grand patron.

According to the statement, Mr Mbah appointed Christian Ngwu chairman of ENSIEC, while Solomon Edeh, Chinenyenwa Ogbu, and George Ani were re-appointed members.

Arthur Ifeanyi Ede, Paully Eze, Emmanuel Ogbodo, and Emeka Ukwuaba are the other members, while Ifesinachi Umeobika will act as secretary.

The statement also indicated that the Enugu governor appointed Eric Odo as chairman of the Enugu State Hospital Management Board and Edith Okolo as chairman of the Enugu State Agency for Universal Health Coverage.

The appointments take immediate effect, according to the statement.
