Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental and Sanitation Corps (LASEMA) in collaboration with officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline, on Thursday, arrested six miscreants for sleeping on the pedestrian bridge in Oshodi.

According to him, their action on the bridge, deprived people from using the bridge.

The commissioner for environment and water resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this on his official X handle and attached pictures and videos of all suspects that were nabbed for various offences.

“During the early morning monitoring of pedestrian bridges across the state, officials of @LAGESCOfficial (KAI), apprehended 6 miscreants at Bolade Oshodi, who were sleeping on the bridge, thereby preventing people from using the facility,” Mr Wahab wrote.

The commissioner also disclosed that six people were arrested in Ketu for not using the pedestrian bridge, while 29 others were arrested elsewhere in the state for street trading.

He said, “6 other persons were apprehended at Ketu for refusing to use the pedestrian bridge and accusing the KAI officials of doing illegal duty of working during the holiday.”

“Also, 29 street traders were arrested at Victoria Island, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Aboyade-Cole, Adeola Odeku, Bishop Oluwole and Ligali Ayorinde,” he added.
