Dickson Chollom, member, Plateau House of Assembly, has solicited support for victims of rainstorm in Ratt Village, Foron District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area (LGA).

Mr Chollom, (APC, Barkin Ladi), who visited the affected community on Friday, called on well-meaning individuals and organisations to come to the aid of the victims.

The lawmaker particularly called on the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and other relevant agencies, to assist the residents, whose farms and homes were destroyed.

While sympathising with the victims, Mr Chollom appealed to his constituents to have faith in Gov. Caleb Mutfwang’s administration’s commitment to the wellbeing of Plateau people.

According to him, Mutfwang is committed to ensuring that citizens of the state enjoy good governance and the dividends of democracy.

The community leader, Yusuf Pam, appreciated the lawmaker for visiting and sharing in their pains.

Mr Pam reiterated the call for assistance for his people, considering the hard economy, and the fact that most of their belongings had been destroyed by the rainstorm.

Residential houses and a church were affected by the rainstorm.
