Kogi: SDP guber candidate seeks support for Tinubu

Murtala Ajaka, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate in the 2023 Kogi governorship race, has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to resuscitate the economy and end insecurity.
In a congratulatory message to Mr Tinubu on his first anniversary in office, Mr Ajaka appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with the government.
Mr Ajaka said, “There is no doubt that the President loves this country dearly. He works assiduously to reverse its economic downturn without repeating the errors of previous leaderships.
“The president believes that with the right priorities in place and seriously pursued developmental projects, spartan discipline, Nigeria can be great again.”
He said it would be wise for Nigerians to shun parochial interests, close ranks, and work for the country’s development.
He urged Nigerians to join hands with the President “in the collective interest of peace and prosperity of all.”
Mr Ajaka was a staunch member of the APC but defected to the SDP to contest the governorship election, which he lost to his former party’s Usman Ododo.
