Davido’s ex-PA claims he was offered N100 million to implicate him over friend’s death
Davido’s former personal assistant Idris Aloma revealed he was offered N100 million to incriminate the Nigerian A-list artist for the death of his friend Tagbo Umenike in 2017.
Mr Tagbo was found dead in his car shortly after he was spotted clubbing with Davido and friends in Lagos on October 4, 2017.
“When we were at the police station, Lion Building, they took me to a room and said that I am a fall man. Beware of this music industry, everyone is trying their best to pull David down,” the former PA disclosed in a recent interview. “They told me to write a statement stating that David killed Tagbo. They gave me a blank cheque of N100m just for me to write that David killed Tagbo.”
Aloma however said he rejected the offer and he is glad he did because no matter how huge the money offered was, it would have been completely exhausted by now.
“They said we should write the statement and they will give us N100m or any other thing that we want. We refused. More so, I am certain that we will have spent all the money by this time. We wrote what happened. I am glad that we were honest” he added.
The ex-PA was appointed by the artist in 2017 and was eventually relieved of his duty in August, 2020.
