Eid-el-Kabir: Governor Alia tasks Muslims on country’s unity

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue has urged the Muslim faithful to spread the love, sacrifice, tolerance and unity as exhibited by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.
Mr Alia made the call on Sunday in a statement to felicitate the Muslim faithful as they commemorate this year’s Eid Mubarak, a significant spiritual event in the Muslim calendar.
His chief press secretary, Tersoo Kula, signed the statement in Makurdi, the state capital.
The governor urged Muslims to continue to pray and support his administration and the Tinubu-led government as they strive to fulfil their electoral mandate to the people.
Mr Alia expressed optimism that the state and country would overcome their current economic and security challenges.
He wished the Muslim faithful a happy Eid Mubarak celebration.
