Let’s rededicate ourselves to God, Nasfsat tells Muslims in UK

“Many of our brothers and sisters have lost their children to environmental influence within short period of their stay.’’

The Convener of the Nasfat Swansea Branch, Wales, United Kingdom, Abdulfatai Omotunde, has called on Muslims in the United Kingdom particularly in Wales to rededicate themselves to Almighty God rather than prioritising economic gains at all times.

Mr Omotunde, an accountant and former Amir, Nasfat Alagbole branch and coordinator of Magboro Group, Lagos, Nigeria, stated this during the formal inauguration of Asalatu prayer meeting of the branch at 41, Balaclava Street, Swansea, Wales, UK.

He said, “Many of our brothers and sisters have lost their children to environmental influence within short period of their stay while some children are turning against their parents due to social influences.’’

The convener further stressed that the primary mission of the Nasfat Swansea branch Asalatu Prayer in Wales was to “Prevent our children from losing focus of Islam as the fundamental foundation to the journey of life and not to lose their traditional and cultural values which we cherish so much.’’

Mr Omotunde urged the Muslim brothers and sisters living in Wales to come together and make the branch grow for the benefit of all, Islam and the future of their promising children for a better and greater tomorrow. He noted that the Asalatu prayer meeting had come to stay in Swansea and it would hold every Sunday, but yet to get a permanent site and other functional services.

The Missioners, Abdulraheem Habibulahi, was in attendance while Seleem Omotunde led the Asalatu prayer which began at 10.30am and ended at 12.30pm local time with a sizable number of islamic faithful in attendance.

Mr Omotunde used the occasion to wish all Muslim brothers and sisters Happy New Islamic year.
