Boko Haram: MNJTF receives logistics support from EU

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) received a boost from the European Union via logistics support items to enhance its operational efficiency and capabilities.
Lt.-Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, spokesman for MNJTF, Ndjamena, Chad, disclosed this in a statement.
He said that the support was facilitated by the DCI Group and included office IT equipment such as laptop computers, tablets, printers, and office furniture.
He explained that the items were handed over to the Force Commander, Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Ali, by the deputy chief of the DCI Group, Emmanuel Gastines.
Mr Ali commended the EU for its continued support and commended the efforts of the DCI Group in executing the support project.
He added that the equipment would streamline operations, improve communication, and enhance decision-making processes within the task force.
“This support is part of the EU’s broader initiative to stabilise the Lake Chad Basin region. Future assistance will include surveillance equipment, specialised training, and quick impact projects designed to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the MNJTF,” he said.
