A group, 3rd Force 4 SMO, says it will garner 300,000 votes for the victory of the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Monday Okpebholo, in the Edo election.

Musa Braimoh, the chairman, 3rd Force 4 SMO (Sen. Monday Okpebholo), in Edo, made this known at the inauguration of the group in Edo-North Senatorial District of Edo on Friday in Auchi.

“I can tell you, I have done my calculation and with the strength that is driven by the group, we have already 300,000 members in the state.

“As a scientist in politics, given to what I read in school, I have done my calculation and I know this even to the numbers of coordinators I have across board in the 8,000 units across the state.

“I can tell you we will get that number and even surpass that number,” Mr Braimoh said.

He said that coordinators play a vital role in guiding and organising various initiatives in party politics before, during and after the election.

The chairman called on the coordinators in the senatorial district to promote the APC candidate’s five-point agenda on education, agriculture/food security, job creation/youth empowerment, infrastructure and flyover.

Also, Hayat Asunogie, the Edo-North coordinator of the group, urged the coordinators at the local government and ward levels to ensure they canvassed votes for the candidate of APC, to win the election.

Earlier, the chairman, APC campaign council in Etsako West Local Government, Yakubu Musa, thanked the convener for the initiative.

Mr Musa said that the inauguration of the group in the district would help the council to galvanise more votes for APC in the election.

He, however, called for synergy between the group and the party campaign council in the district.

“The inauguration of 3rd Force for Sen. Monday Okpebholo is already helping the campaign council in galvanising vote for APC.

“I can assure you that every member of this group will be carried along in the government of Sen. Monday Okpebholo,” Mr Musa said.
