Lagos postpones e-call-up system for trucks on Lekki-Epe corridor

The Lagos State government has postponed the electronic call-up system for trucks on the Lekki-Epe corridor.
The state Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, announced the postponement in a statement on Friday in Lagos.
The statement was signed by Bolanle Ogunlola, the ministry’s deputy director of public affairs.
The e-call-up system on the Lekki-Epe corridor was billed to commence on August 1.
The initiative is to ensure seamless traffic flow on the Lekki-Epe corridor.
“The postponement of the e-call-up system on the Lekki-Epe corridor was reached after further consideration of stakeholder requests to extend the timeliness.
“This is in order to give adequate room for full compliance,” he said.
Mr Osiyemi urged all stakeholders to seize the opportunity to ramp up full preparation in readiness for the successful takeoff of the technology-driven solution of truck movement on the Lekki-Epe corridor.
