The police command in Abuja said the ongoing #EndHunger protests have become violent in the FCT.

The police spokeswoman in the FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, said officers were becoming overwhelmed.

Despite the earlier order restricting the protest to Moshood Abiola Stadium, the protesters defied this directive and came out from different locations, adding an element of intrigue to the situation.

“The protesters are coming out from different locations and are becoming violent. We are trying to curtail them, but currently, they are being very violent,” she said.

She said the protesters moving to Eagle Square against the initial restriction of the protest to Moshood Abiola Stadium brought about the violence.
