Protesters on Tuesday ignored a 24-hour curfew imposed by the Kaduna State Security Council on Kaduna and Zaria Metropolitan cities to resume demonstrations on the sixth day of the #EndBadGovernance protest.

The Kaduna State government on Monday imposed a curfew across various cities in the state, stating that the nationwide hunger protests which started last week Thursday had been hijacked by hoodlums after violence and looting of shops.

Despite the government order restriction in the state, the protesters gathered across various locations including the front of Kaduna Polytechnic and Fidelity Bank in Tudun Wada, a suburb in the Kaduna South Local Government Area.

Meanwhile, there is heavy presence of security operatives including police officers at the venue of the demonstration, manning strategic positions to prevent the protesters from advancing through the location.

Like Kaduna, demonstrations are also ongoing in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and some other parts of the country.
