North-East commission installs solar lights at Taraba varsity, inspects ongoing projects

Managing Director of the North East Development Commission, Goni Alkali, has said the commission installed solar lights at the Federal University, Wukari, its teaching hospital and the Taraba State University, Jalingo.
Mr Alkali made this known in Jalingo on Saturday after the completion of projects inspection by the commission in the state.
He expressed satisfaction with the work done, adding that the project’s initiative was to supplement electricity supply in those institutions by ensuring the illumination of the concerned communities.
He urged the benefiting institutions to ensure maintenance and protection of the projects.
Other projects inspected by the team include mass housing in Federal Polytechnic Bali, Mass housing in the General Hospital Bali and Mega School project in Wukari.
Others are ICT unit, Federal University Wukari, NEDC warehouse in Jalingo, mass housing at Federal University Wukari, Federal University Wukari Teaching Hospital, Federal Government College Wukari and Government Secondary School, Wukari.
The mass housing at Federal Medical Centre Jalingo, three solar boreholes at FMC Jalingo, mass housing at Taraba State Polytechnic Jalingo among many others were also inspected by the team.
