Gov. Yusuf launches 5km road project in Kano LG

Kano State governor, Abba Yusuf, on Saturday launched the construction of a five-kilometre road project at Kunchi town in the Ghari Local Government Area of the state.
The exercise is part of his administration’s efforts to construct a five-kilometre road in the local governments across the state.
A statement by the governor’s media aide, Sanusi Bature, indicated that the project was initiated during the second tenure of Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso to develop rural communities, but was not continued by the succeeding administration.
The statement quoted Mr Yusuf as commending the people of the area for their patience, support and cooperation.
He was also quoted as instructing the contractor handling the project to mobilise to site “within one week.”
He warned that failure to do so would compel the government to terminate the contract.
Earlier, Mr Yusuf inaugurated a township road in Yandadi town after inspecting the Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies, Ghari.
