Kidnapped Kwara government official freed after ransom: Police
The police in Kwara have confirmed the release of Hakeem Idris, a director in the state finance ministry. Mr. Idris was kidnapped on October 7.
Kwara police spokesman Ajayi Okasanmi told NAN Sunday morning in Ilorin that the official was released after the payment of an undisclosed amount.
The spokesman said Mr. Idris was abducted while returning from his farm at Alapa in the Moro local government area of the state.
This development has thrown residents of the ancient city into palpable fear as various development associations have begun to react to the relapse in the security situation in the state, NAN reported.
