Osimhen shines as Galatasaray cruise to Europa League victory over PAOK

Galatasaray opened their 2024/25 UEFA Europa League campaign with a convincing 3-1 victory over PAOK at RAMS Park.
The Turkish giants dominated the match from the start, with Victor Osimhen coming close to scoring early on. Despite PAOK having a few chances of their own, Galatasaray maintained control and eventually took the lead through an own goal from former Chelsea man Baba Rahman.
PAOK managed to equalise through Giannis Konstantelias, but Galatasaray quickly regained their lead with goals from Yunus Akgün and Mauro Icardi.
The victory puts Galatasaray in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
