New corps marshal vows to tackle corruption in FRSC
The new sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Katsina sector command, Aliyu Maaji, has warned staff against extorting motorists.
Mr Maaji, who gave the warning when he assumed office in Katsina on Tuesday, said that bribery would not be tolerated and any staff found guilty would be shown the way out.
He further urged the personnel to key into the corps marshal policy thrust by doing their best to create a good public image for the corps.
He stated that plans were underway to introduce a monthly stakeholders’ forum to create more awareness and collaborative efforts in the state.
Mr Maaji further appealed to road users and other stakeholders to continue to give the commission more support to enable it to discharge its duties diligently to reduce road accidents and traffic.
