Disgraced policemen extorting Owerri drivers face orderly room trial

The police command in Imo has commenced an orderly room trial against four of its operatives over alleged extortion.
The command’s spokesman, Henry Okoye, disclosed this on Thursday.
“The Imo State Police Command has commenced an orderly room trial against officers caught in a viral video extorting money in Owerri.
“These officers, who have been in detention, are 1 Inspector Ibrahim Nainna; 2 Unaka Maxvirgin; 3 Inspector Miller Ibanitta; and 4 Sergeant Alozie Anthony.
“The results of the proceedings will be communicated in due course,” said the police.
The police commissioner, Aboki Danjuma, on Sunday, had ordered the arrest of the officers after they were caught in a 15-second video extorting money from commercial bus drivers in Owerri.
