Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno has reappointed Bulama Kagu as the executive chairman of the Borno State Universal Basic Education Board (BSUBEB) for a second term.

Bukar Tijani, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), announced the reappointment in a statement on Saturday in Maiduguri, the state capital.

The statement indicated that the extension of Mr Kagu’s tenure was based on his exceptional performance during his first tenure.

It observed that the reappointee had recorded significant advancements in the state’s basic education programmes.

The statement said the second-term opportunity would enable Mr Kagu to build upon ongoing reforms to strengthen the educational system across Borno.
