Police arrest three suspects with illicit drugs in Kaduna

The Kaduna Police Command said its operatives have detained three suspects with illicit drugs.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the arrest to journalists on Sunday in Kaduna.
Mr Hassan said, “At about 2000hrs on Saturday, in compliance with the Commissioner of Police’s directive, a raid was conducted by our operatives in some identified black spots within Unguwan Mangou and Saminaka town, Lere Local Government Area.”
He listed the three suspects as Ahmed Sama’ila, Nuhu Ahmadu of Lazuru village, and Sagir Idris of Mangorori, Saminaka town, all in the LGA.
Mr Hassan said, “They were found to be in possession of the following hard drugs: 114 Exol-5 tablets, 22 sachets of Diazepam tablets, three sachets of Tramadol tablets, wraps of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and one sharp knife.”
He said that after the completion of the investigation, the three suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
Mr Hassan appealed to the state’s residents for timely and useful information for prompt action.
