APGA chieftain lauds Soludo on road infrastructure investment

Odira Ezeh, a chieftain of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra has commended Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for massive investment in road projects across the state.
Mr Ezeh, who spoke to journalists in Awka on Saturday, said that Mr Soludo’s road construction efforts and effective traffic management had eased traffic worries for residents.
He said the completion of the 26km Amansea-Awa-Ndiukwuenu-Ufuma road had not only diverted traffic from the city centre but reduced travel time to Orumba, Isuochi and Okigwe by more than one hour.
Mr Ezeh said new towns were emerging while residents were creating more liveable, smart and prosperous settlements in the area.
The coordinator of diaspora coalition for Soludo second term said the dualisation of Ekwulobia-Agulu, Nwagu-Nnewi-Ozubulu-Ihiala expressway would further ease movement of people and goods.
“The revolutionary intervention of Mr Governor is responsible for the free flow of traffic we are witnessing in Awka, Onitsha, Ekwulobia, Agulu and Nnewi where we used to have heavy gridlock before now.
“I have heard some people saying it is because of high price of fuel. No, that is not correct; the road network and traffic management are more efficient today.
“In Anambra State today, there is steady urban-rural migration,” he said.
Mr Ezeh, a realtor, said Mr Soludo was approaching the infrastructure challenges in Anambra with the future surge in population kinetics and larger economic activities in mind.
He also commended Emeka Okonkwo, the managing director of Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency for the good job he was doing.
