2025 Hajj: NAHCON inaugurates committee to screen service providers

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), on Monday in Abuja, inaugurated a committee to screen and verify accommodation and service providers for the 2025 Hajj.
Its chairman of NAHCON, Abdullahi Usman, while inaugurating the committee, said it would play a critical role in ensuring the welfare and comfort of Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
He implored members of the committee to select only the best and most compliant service providers in Saudi Arabia.
The NAHCON boss also urged the committee to safeguard the integrity of the commission by upholding the trust placed in the organisation by the pilgrims.
He also charged the committee to fear Allah (SWT) to uphold transparency, accountability, and diligence throughout the process to enable NAHCON to provide good services to the pilgrims.
Responding, the chairman of the committee, Abubakar Yagawal, said the committee would ensure that only reputable and reliable service providers were selected to meet the accommodation and catering needs of pilgrims.
Mr Yagawal, who is the NAHCON’s commissioner for planning, research statistics, information and library services (PRSILS), said the committee would scrutinise the documents and prospects of the service providers that applied for the service.
