Christmas: Aero Contractors, with only three aircraft, slashes local flight fares

Aero Contractors has announced N80,000 ticket prices for local flights in celebration of the festive season.
Disclosing this to journalists on Tuesday, the company’s Managing Director, Ado Sanusi, said reduction in the price of the fares within the period, is in recognition of the harsh economic challenges being experienced by Nigerians.
It stated, “We have understood the pains Nigerians have been going through because of the economic hardship, the high prices of tickets, and the holiday season is near. So, Aero contractors has decided to announce a Christmas initiative, we call them pocket-friendly Christmas prices. These prices are designed to allow Nigerians to travel to all our destinations without paying too much.
“Our prices will start from N80,000 to all of our destinations, and we intend to make it affordable to the flying public. And this is to allow the flying public/families to meet their loved ones during this Christmas season.”
Mr Sanusi said the gesture by the company, billed to end in January 2025, is aimed at giving back to Nigerians and support them during Christmas.
According to the aviation company, the gesture is in the spirit of giving during Christmas, which aligns with its history of understanding its customers, adding that time has come to give back to them.
The company expressed confidence that the price cut wouldn’t affect its profitability, assuring that the three aircraft in its fleet would be sufficient for its operations.
Mr Sanusi therefore urged other airlines in the country to do the same for its customers.
According to the company’s website, as of 03:00 p.m. on Tuesday, its flight ticket for economy class from Lagos to Abuja is N94,881, while that of business class at N189, 167.
