Court strikes out Yahaya Bello’s bail application

Justice Maryann Anenih of the FCT High Court struck out the bail application filed by former Governor Yahaya Bello on Tuesday.

Ms Anenih struck out the application on the grounds that it was filed when the former governor was yet to be taken into custody by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The application was filed on November 22, while the anti-graft agency took the former governor into custody on November 26 and arraigned him on November 27.
